What Is TRCC?

TRCC is the Theodor Reik Clinical Center for Psychotherapy, a referral service for New York City and the surrounding communities of New York State, New Jersey, and Connecticut. TRCC is not a clinic or a group practice.

For more than 50 years, TRCC has successfully referred thousands of people for psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. TRCC is known for its quick and personalized application and referral process. TRCC effectively meets requests and needs regarding choice of therapist and fair cost.

TRCC serves everyone without regard to gender, sexual orientation, age, race, national or ethnic origin, religion, or disability.

TRCC’s central office is located in the heart of historic Greenwich Village in Manhattan. Our therapists work at our central office and in offices throughout New York City and surrounding communities.

TRCC is the therapy referral service of a larger organization, the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis (NPAP). NPAP was founded by Theodor Reik, who was trained by Sigmund Freud and was a psychoanalytic pioneer in the United States. It is a well-respected professional and educational organization. The Training Institute of NPAP has been training therapists in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for more than 50 years. All of TRCC’s therapists are part of NPAP and subscribe to the highest professional and ethical standards.
